How to Automatically Upload Pictures to OneDrive in Windows 10 Mobile

We all know it perhaps, you loose your phone, your phone gets damaged, your SD card stops working or something else happens and you loose all your pictures of those nice, funny or good moments. It’s painful and quite unnecessary these days since we all got a Microsoft Account, and that has free Onedrive storage!

Your Windows 10 mobile phone can automatically upload your pictures to onedrive, however this needs to be set-up, in this tutorial we will explain How to Automatically Upload Pictures to OneDrive in Windows 10 Mobile. Let’s get started.

How to Automatically Upload Pictures to OneDrive in Windows 10 Mobile

1. Open the Phone’s settings.

2. Tap on Devices

3. Tap on Camera

4. Swipe down till you see the options of “OneDrive”

5. Now choose the option we want, personally I recommend you use the Best Quality option, images are not reduced and the quality is kept. However this option can only be used on WiFi because of the high bandwidth use. Select the option you want.

Your Windows 10 mobile phone will now automatically upload your pictures to the Onedrive cloud. You can view the pictures on any computer by going to Onedrive.com and logging into the Microsoft account.

You can also upload Video’s you shoot to the Onedrive cloud automatically by activating “Upload Videos”. Please note that this will take serious storage space on your Onedrive account.

    Although, with the latest version of Windows 10 Mobile these settings are now part of the OneDrive app, I have this turned on already but sometimes it seems a little slow to upload. How do I manually force the upload so I don’t have to wait for this automated process to start?
