What does disksnapshot.exe do? and what is it?
DiskSnapShot appears to scan the hard disk of the computer to determine it’s health. It only does this when the computer is idle and stops immediately once the user starts to use the computer again. The program did not collect any information when we where testing and monitoring the application.
We suggest you do not remove DiskSnapShot from your system, if you question it’s authenticity then please run a malware scan on your system, or ask for personal help. Do not remove this file unless instructed by someone you trust. The file should always be in the \WINDOWS\system32 folder and nowhere else.
You can disable this task by going into Task Manager then Microsoft, Windows, and disable DiskFootPrint
