How to Disable Account Syncing in Windows 10

Windows 10 by default syncs your background, color settings and other settings to all your Windows device where you logon with your Microsoft account. While most people including myself love this feature their might be a reason to disable it. In this article we will show you how to disable account syncing in Windows 10.

How to Disable Account Syncing in Windows 10

1. Open the Settings screen in Windows 10 (Click on Start and then on the cogwheel)

2. Click on Accounts

3. Click on Sync your Settings

To fully disable syncing your settings with your Microsoft account turn the slider under “Sync settings” from On to Off.

If you only want to disable certain sync settings then you can choose to disable; theme, internet explorer settings, passwords, language preferences, ease of access, other windows settings by changing the slider from On to Off.
