By default if you start an Excel sheet with links it will ask you to update those links for you. If you use many of these sheets and always choose No then you can disable this prompt and never let it happen unless you do it manually. Head to the Microsoft Excel settings
We begin by opening the Excel Settings. You do this by clicking on File and then Options as shown below.

How to disable Automatic Links in Excel
To disable the prompt to update Automatic Links in Excel go to Advanced and head down to the General category
Once there find the option “Ask to update automatic links” and uncheck the box to disable the prompt behaviour of Microsoft Excel.
