Word allows you or reviewers to comment on certain parts of your document by using the Commenting functionality in Word. However, if you want to print your document then by default the comments are printed as well. In this article, we will show you how to disable this and print your word document without comments.
The steps in this article are quite simple to follow and apply to Office 2016, Office 2019 and above. If you can’t find the options used in this article then feel free to comment down below with your current version of Office / Word and we will try to help you.
How to Print a Word Document without Comments
Printing a document without comments is quite an easy thing to do once you know where to find the option. By following the three steps below you can disable the printing of comments in Word. Let’s get started.
1. Open your Word document and go to the Print options.
2. Under Settings click on Print all Pages
3. Then in the menu click on Print Markup and make sure the checkbox disappears.
You should now see that the entire comment bar will no longer be visible in your print preview screen. You can now change other settings such as print only odd pages, even pages, only the current page and so on. This setting, however, has to be set each time you want to print your document. Word does not remember this and you should make sure to disable Print Markup again before attempting to print your document.
