Will I Have to Pay for Windows 10 after the First Year? No!

A question asked many time on many communities is “Will I have to Pay for Windows 10 After the First Year?” The simple answer is no you will not have to pay for Windows 10 after the first year. Microsoft does this promotion to get as many people over to their new Operating System, Windows 10. After 1 year people who have not chosen to upgrade by want to upgrade then, will have to pay for the Windows 10 Upgrade.

If you have already upgraded Windows 7, 8 to Windows 10 then running it will remain free, as well as all updates that Microsoft releases during it’s lifetime cycle of Windows 10.

This is more than a one-time upgrade: once a Windows device is upgraded to Windows 10, we will continue to keep it current for the supported lifetime of the device – at no cost. With Windows 10, the experience will evolve and get even better over time. We’ll deliver new features when they’re ready, not waiting for the next major release. We think of Windows as a Service – in fact, one could reasonably think of Windows in the next couple of years as one of the largest Internet services on the planet.Microsoft
