EaseUS EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard Premium

In a previous review we’ve taken a look at EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard and it’s possibilities and limits. We were very positive about the results of our tests and enjoyed working with the program. In this review we are going to take a look at the same program however while we did the free version before we are now going to do the paid version and see what difference it makes.

Before we get started I wanted to share our verdict from the last review we did:

EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard hasn’t let us down while testing it, it uses a fast scanning method to find removed files within minutes and the recovery rate is very good. We only think that the 2GB restriction makes the free version almost useless especially when you consider that people have hard disks of multiple terabytes. Adding up all the scores, a 8 for features, a 8.5 for design and a 9 for ease of use then we can safely say that we liked EaseUS Data Recovery and recommend it.

So can the paid version of this file recovery software improve these already good / great scores? We shall see! There is also a free version available here EaseUS free recovery software

Features

While the free version was limited to a recovering 1 GB of files the paid version does not have any kind of limits and can therefor restore all the files you lost (as long as they are recoverable of course).

The program supports restoring files from all sort of media carriers like:

• HDDs
• SDDs
• USBs
• Flash Cards like SD Cards, MMC, M2 and so on.

If you are wondering if it can restore lost files from cds then the answer is of course no. However due to the technical debt we have to go into to explain why not we will not discuss it in this review.

EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard is able to restore all kinds of files, actually all kinds of files on your computer. It doesn’t matter if you want to recover GIFs, JPG, JPEGs, ZIPs, RAWs, RARs, EXE, MP4, MP3 it can find and restore it all.

Design

The design of EaseUS Data Recovery is simple but clean. Everything is easy to find which most certainly helps the ease of use of the program.

The design clearly shows every step you need to take, found files and how to recover them. They included a preview screen for files found so you can see if you want to restore them or you if don’t want to restore them. EaseUS Data Recovery has clear user interface overall. Ease of Use

We did not see an improvement to the ease of use of the program. We’ve scored it a 9 before and we still believe that’s the mark it deserves. We loved the warning you get when installing the program that you should never install it on the disk you want to recover the files on. Most recovery programs do not include that warning and it’s quite a shame since installing the program on the same disk could potentially overwrite data and make it unrecoverable.

The interface looks good and is simply to use. It explains in detail what everything does and is simple to use for any skill level.

Verdict

We’ve said it before and it’s time to say it again. We love EaseUS Data Recovery. The features, ease of use and design make this program one of the best recovery solutions on the market. When asked to score this program I would say a 9 for features, a 9 for design and a 9.5 for ease of use. It’s simply that good.
