Windows 10 brings new features to an array of existing features in Windows. One of the new feature’s I truly love is the integrated Microsoft Print to PDF in Windows 10. Which allows you to save any file to PDF without having to use any third-party app. You only need to be able to print the file.
Microsoft Print to PDF is a Virtual Printer that instead of printing out things on paper print it out into a PDF. By default this option is enabled in Windows 10.
How to Print a File to PDF
There is no step by step guide necessary. Simply open any program that allows you to print files such as Microsoft Edge and choose the printer `Microsoft Print to PDF´ and you´re done.
Microsoft Print to PDF is missing
You might have accidentally disabled this feature in Windows 10 since it’s enabled by default. But it’s an easy fix anyway.
- Right-click or tap and hold the Windows icon in the task bar and choose Control Panel
- Click on Program & Features in the Control Panel window.
- Then in the left panel find and click on Turn Windows Features On or Off.
- A list of Windows features will be generated, wait for this to finish. When the list is loaded find and check the box “Microsoft Print to PDF”
- Click on OK.
Before you can use the Microsoft Print to PDF feature you’ll first have to reboot your computer. After closing the Windows Features option panel, Windows 10 will automatically ask to reboot.
