Emptying AutomaticDestinations

Like most things in Windows, the settings / information for all folders in Quick Access is saved somewhere. In this case, it’s saved in the AutomaticDestinations-MS file. We will remove this file in order to solve your problems.

1. Navigate to “%AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations\“. The easiest way to do this is by simply copying it and pasting it in the address bar as displayed below

2. Now find a file called “f01b4d95cf55d32a.automaticDestinations-ms“. Right-click it and choose Delete

3. It could take some time to update but all Quick Access pins should now be gone from your system and the normal behaviour should be back.
