Windows 10 Basics: Setting Up GMail in Calendar

Many people have it a Google Account, and it brings you many features like mail, a calendar, access to the Android store and so much more. If you have an Android phone and you use the calendar of your phone then there is big chance you have your appointments, birthdays and so on stored in your Google Account. In this Windows 10 Basics guide we will show you how to Set Up GMail in Calendar.

If you have used Calendar before then skip “1. Using Calendar for this first time” and read “2. Setting up Calendar with Gmail”.

1. Using Calendar for this first time

1. Open the Calendar ap. You can do this by typing Calendar in the cortana search bar and hitting enter or by opening start and then click or tap the Calendar App.

2. You will see a welcome screen and if you’re using a Microsoft account, then this will already have been added.

3. Click or Tap on Add an Account

4. Then choose for an Google Account

5. Sign-in with your Google Account Credentials

6. Check the permissions, then swipe or scroll down and click or tap on Accept.

7. Your account has been been added. Make a decision if you want to save the account info to your Microsoft account, after that the calendar will automatically start with your Google account added.

 

2. Setting up Calendar with your Google Account

If you already used the Calendar app before then you should follow these steps.

1. Begin by clicking on the cogwheel in the corner of the calendar app.

2. Settings should now appear. Then click on Accounts.

3. Then click on Add Account

4. Then choose for an Google Account
