A common error code while running Windows Update can be 800B0100. In most cases this can be fixed by running check disk on the system. Please follow the steps below
- Open Start and type CMD
- Then right click Command Prompt and Choose Run as Administrator
- Now type: chkdsk c: /r
- Command Prompt will ask for a reboot, type Y and hit enter.
- Windows will reboot, wait for the progress to finish.
Then try to run Windows Update again, the problems should now be gone. If not then please ask an expert for help.
